FAQ-Frequently Asked Questions
This site will focus on the most asked questions. If you don't find an answer to your question
- Which files can I send via the server?
-
With our server you can send everything, mostly video files and audio. Sources for it could be:
- video transmission "live" from camera (look right)
- video file in any format (example- reclams, movies, or any thing from You),
- monitoring cameras,
- DVD's
- and many more...
- How many people can use and watch my presentation?
- We can start links with giant throughput, so it matters if more people can watch it. In basic you have a guaranteed 100 links.
- I can't see video in my Internet browser.
- Your Windows Media Player is not actualized. Please make sure that WMP is in the newest version and try again. Now video from a camera can view only people who have Microsoft Windows. Versions for other systems (Linux/Mac/Sun) is being worked on and will be made popular later on.
- Which type of camera do I need to start transmission??
- You need an IP camera, which transfers media in MPEG4 and has Ethernet. It's possible to start it from many devices, but initially, please contact our company.
- Do I have to have my PC on to keep the camera functioning?
- No, you don't have to. IP cameras are their own thinking machines, which are connected specifically to the web or router. The camera has its own power supply so the PC is, in that case, unnecessary.
- Does the camera itself need access to the internet web??
- Yes. Our software downloads packets 24/7. Cameras have to be connected to the internet or router, because only then will our software can connect to it.
- How fast an internet service do I need to start transmission?
- Minimum upload is 512 kbit/s for each camera. The throughput can start a video of 352x288 pixels with a speed of about 20 squares per second. Plus, you have to remember that ADSL technology, for example Neostrada, has no symmetrical parameters. Another plus is that Neostrada in 6 Mbit has a speed 'to customer' - 6144 kbit/s, but speed 'from customer' is 320 kbit/s. So in that case, the camera will not function.
